- Runs small, designed to fit high and tight through the waist, we recommend ordering one size up. For a more easy and relaxed look, we recommend going up two sizes.

Comfortable fit!
Madewell jeans always have me coming back for more. I am a huge fan of their perfect vintage jeans, and was looking for something similar, but more affordable when I stumbled upon these. These definitely have a comfortable "stretchier" fit, and fit looser around the upper thigh. I was surprised at how long they were - I am 5'10, and normally order "Tall" but these were standard length and fell right at the top of my foot. They will be a great "errand" jean - not stiff at all and will be great for wearing on a long day out.
I am going to mark these as fitting on the large side because I just tried them on and they zipped up quite easily - I'm between a 32 and 33 normally, and these fit more like a 33 than a 32, so once I sit in them for a while, I'm sure they will feel much bigger.
Overall, very happy with the quality of these jeans, looking forward to wearing them!

Great Quality, but Sizing Was Tricky
I’m a little confused about the fit because many reviews said these run small. I sized up, but they ended up being huge and extremely long on me. The color and quality are wonderful, though! I’m returning and reordering in my true size (28). For reference, I’m 5'4" and 140 pounds.

Great Straight Leg
These are actually a great straight leg, slim throughout the leg so they have a nice tailored fit. However I was looking for a pair that was wider at the hem so that they wouldn’t choke my boots and these are on the slimmer side. Since that’s what I needed, I’ll be returning but would have kept otherwise!
