True to size. These would be cute if they were shorter. Given the frayed look, they should be on the shorter side as they look weird long. 2” shorter would be perfect and not make you feel they are “too” short. I am mostly legs so I thought the length might be perfect yet I was wrong. The display name for reviews is pretty ridiculous. They think there won’t be more than one of each name and forces you to make up a fake one. Strange

Perfect length, very flattering
Athletic 5’5” 135 lbs I got a 28 and I liked them but they sat farther down on my hips. I almost kept both sizes for a more relaxed fit but ultimately kept the 27, no back gap. Very comfortable. I don’t think they’ll stretch out and lose shape. I live in AZ so a perfect pair of shorts is a must.
