True to the size you have to adjust!
I love these pants! The people saying they’re *HUGE* are a little dramatic because while I’m 5’8” and 135lbs and trim, I snagged these in a 29 because I know Free People just runs always always- with their shirts, with their shoes I’m sure, and definitely pants. They’re true to having to order a size up than what you’re used to, but the legs fit me pretty well I’m definitely not being swallowed by these and yeah, I got the 29! They’re definitely not huge at all, they’re honestly perfect and I’m so glad they just barely hit the floor and I don’t have to cut off the cuffed part since I don’t think you even really can if you wanted, which is what I went into this thinking I might have to do so these really are a big relief. I love them!

HUGE!
I am a size 6/28 and I ordered these in a 26, 27, 28 and 29. They all fit similar in the waist. HUGE! The bigger the size the bigger the legs got. So disappointed as I wish they would fit like on the model but they are ridiculously large. Almost comical.

Waaaaay too big for a 27!
I own Free People jeans in 28 and the fit is perfect - even after washing and drying. These 27's are 2 inches too big at the waist. There was a 2 week wait for shipping and now no more are available.

Color transfer
Love the jeans, but I have to stitch the front pleats 3 inches down because it bulks out on a very unflattering way, creating a belly pouch shape, otherwise is flattering on all other areas. Fitting problem solved. I am a size 26/27, it fits true to size, not huge, no need for sizing up or sizing down. The color green transfer to my Adidas suede shoes, my socks and clothing, and I washed before wearing for the first time! After washing the jeans over five times the green color fades away, and I hope the color transfer never happens again. Now it looks better, like a bluish green instead of dark green as pictured.

Comfortable and Stylish
Comfortable, stylish, soft fabric, nice greenish denim color, flattering in the back. Runs true to size. I am 5'5", 130lbs, size 26/27, Small. Size 27 Luke Green fits on my waist just below belly button. I have another color in size 26 that has identical fit like it is the same size. Waist measures 16" lying flat. The waist band is narrower than the hips, rounded shape on the hips. Smaller waist compared to other FP styles like Palmer, Moxie, Good Luck.
