Floral One Shoulder Ruffle Cocktail Dress

Fabric Quality: In store, both (size 2 & 8) had some ladders already along side of the zippers (right side). So I was hoping that the new one directly shipped home would have better chance to be undamaged. Unfortunately, they are multiple ladders already running from the top (shoulder to the knee), so they are visible white lines on the front and side and bottom part from this damage, which I didn't want for $200 dress. Manufacturer should have better quality assurance process before sending goods to Nordstrom. Occasion: Friend's wedding. Sizing: The store did not have my size (4 or 6) or my preferred size (4P or 6P). The one I tried in store was size 2 that fits tight, and not comfy, but I couldve' wort it with high heel sandals. (3-4 inches) The other one I tried was size 8, that was huge on torso and super long. I ordered size 4 that fits me well around the body but I am not tall enough to pull this off without hemming. For size 4 measurement: From the top of the shoulder to the bottom, longest side of the dress is 146cm, which drags almost 2.5 inches without shoes for my height (160cm).

This was outside my comfort zone but I really wanted this dress to work for an upcoming holiday in Hawaii. First, it was small & tight. Also the fabric is slick with a sheen. Perhaps if it had been available in a larger size I might have kept trying but a larger size wasn’t available. The dress is constructed well. Too bad but back it goes.
