Zermatt Genuine Shearling Lined Slipper (Women)

So disappointed by this slipper. I have several pairs of Birks in other styles, and loved the idea of something lighter/cozier for wearing around the house. These are lighter, but in a cheap way, like poor knock-offs. The felt doesn't meet the shearling on the inside, so there's a gap around the footbed. The shearling was also shedding everywhere before I even took them out of the box, and then flattened completely when I tried them on for a minute. Even with all that, I would have kept them if they'd been comfortable, but not even a little. Didn't feel as supportive as my other pairs at all. I was also disappointed that these definitely require socks, because the felt is very stiff and scratchy inside. The tops of my feet felt like they were rubbing against sandpaper when I tried them without socks. I do like the option of going sockless, but these wouldn't work for even a walk to the bathroom without socks. So back they went.

I am a true size 8 and usually buy a size 38 in Birkenstocks. These are cut for narrow feet, with high arches. The length is pretty exact, so if you are between sizes, definitely size up. Haven’t had any shedding yet. Cozy, warm and will accommodate a thin sock or barefoot on your foot. A thick sock makes the slipper a bit tight on my feet. Snug fit. Good quality. If I had to buy them again, I would order a size up.
