Upgraded Boat Shoe
Comfortable and stylish, I get a lot of compliments when I wear these. They are well made and even recraftable. I like them so much I have a pair in brown, too.

Insole is not removable
The insole is not removable. The website description is incorrect.
I mention this for anyone else who wears custom orthotics and is looking for a shoe with removable insole.
Looks like a great shoe but alas I'll never find out.

Mostly great
Great leather. Love the extra height and yet super comfortable—not tiring to wear. Only complaint is that rocks are always getting stuck in the rubber tread, even in the city.

Comfortable out of the box. Beautiful to boot.
Great build. Not too long after getting them I took some other shoes to my shoe guy while wearing these and he inspected one and told me buying more of these was a better value than keep fixing and retouching my other shoes.... so there's that.
They do run a bit large and are on the narrower side, I'd say. They do break in and adapt to your feet quickly, but I ordered another pair 1/2 size down and while those were a bit tight on the sides at first, I feel they're closer to my fit. (I normally wear size 10.5-11 dress shoes and 10-10.5 sneakers. These I got in a 10 and after a couple weeks they feel a bit loose, although it is nice to put em on without tying laces. The other pair I got 9.5-- only took a couple days to break in and feel a lot more... 'on my foot'. Will liekly order 9.5 from now on, though it's the only brand I've gone below 10 for..)

Runs larger than reviews stated
I do really like this shoe, however in hindsight I would have purchased a half size smaller. The 11.5 fits more like a 12.5 for length. I am using a aftermarket footbed to reduce the volume in the shoe.
