August Draped Midi Fit & Flare Dress

The fit of this dress was awful and unflattering which I can attribute to maybe looking better on a different body type (I’m 5’5’ hourglass/pear shaped) What I can’t get past is that you can’t move your arms! The way the sleeve is stitched makes it impossible to lift your arms more than a few inches - horrible design.

This dress is beautiful. I am 5’10 and have a long torso. It hits the waist in the right spot. It’s a midi length. The brown color is so pretty and the dress is fully lined. The sleeves look so pretty, but there is a very limited range of motion. Unfortunately I have to return because I have small kids and need to move my arms. Too bad it’s so pretty

I was excited to get this dress and so wanted to love it... I had been looking for something like this for quite some time. It was cute on, but I have never felt a garment so restrictive and uncomfortable before because of the way the arms are sewn (see stock photos front and back in other colors). The arms have minimal range of motion - I could barely raise them in front of me, or in any direction for that matter. It actually felt like it does when you are getting dressed and put an arm or head through the wrong opening of a garment and can't get it off fast enough, if that makes sense. So even if the material had stretch it wouldn't have helped much. Sad to return this as I was hoping to buy several in different colors. I am 5'4" and average build for reference.

This dress is beautiful and well made! Other reviews are correct — it’s made of a heavier fabric - I love it since I’ll be wearing it for my rehearsal dinner in winter. How the sides come up and how the sleeves are designed there is not much arm movement allowed. Not really an issue for me but FYI for other buyers. I wear 10/12s and ordered the 12 and happy with the size! Couldn’t go any smaller.
