Perfect vintage-inspired jeans
I bought my usual 28 in AG which for me is closer to a 27 in the waist as in Madewell. These are a win. The light wash is the perfect vintage look. It's on the higher side of a midrise, but acceptable, just below the navel. I'm 5'4", 136, longer legs & they sit closer to the anke, like by 2 inches longer in comparison to the pic, but still great regardless. These do have give in the waist for those who need to lose a few pounds, which is a necessity for the perfect pair of jeans. This is why I like the stretch in jeans, so long as not too much so that they don't bag out in the legs. Based on the high quality of the brand, it should stay true to form. Pretty perfect for warmer weather or a warmer state in the south.

I love these jeans. They do not look like the photo. These are full-on flares. Definitely need to size down one or two sizes. Fabric is great and I would wear them every day BUT they are already puckering! Badly. Right in front of the crotch. I bought two pairs and both are doing it. So bummed.

I do like the fit. High waist but not too high. Hits me about at the belly button. Fitted thru the hip, thigh and seat. I think they will not slide down, yay. The wash is definitely a lighter wash. They do have slight distress area on side of lower thigh. However I would prefer no distressing as these areas will self destruct in time. I definitely plan to buy more washes of this style. I’m Happy!
