I think the photos are spot on for color - they are like grungy black/charcoal/brown, with dark brown laces. I wear an 8.5 or 9, Eur 39 or 40, in most shoes and I’m a solid UK 6/US 8 in every pair of Docs I’ve bought, so I suggest sizing down. I love these boots - I wanted something grungy and different than anyone else. Break them in wearing double socks, it takes time, but it’s worth it.

As expected the docs are heavy. I’m in between the 8 and 9. Anyone finding themselves in this situation order a shoe horn. Place bulky socks on shoe horns. Heat inside of boot with hair dryer. Place shoe horn in boot heat outside of boot and leave horns in boots for a couple of days. Afterwards they will be nice and broken in.

Not really Grey
Got these in Charcoal Grey. These are such a warm grey they're almost brown, and the laces really do look brown. I would return them but these were a great price and I can probably just polish them with black polish and buy new laces. But be aware, if you want a nice true grey, that's not what these are.
