Designed from lightweight, breathable mesh, this trail runner provides responsive cushioning and features a TrailTrack grip sole for superior traction.

Perfect for: Trail running. This shoe is designed to be light and responsive to help you run faster and farther on the trails.

Upper: Premium single-layer TPEE mesh is lightweight and breathable while remaining durable enough to take on rugged trails.

Midsole Drop: 6mm. Classified as a mid-drop measurement, it pushes your foot forward to support a more natural mid/forefoot strike.

Lower: SkyVault propulsion plate provides responsive drive you need to summit peaks and push the pace. Nitrogen-infused DNA FLASH midsole technology is lightweight and delivers the perfect blend of responsiveness and adaptive cushioning for a fast ride. TrailTack Green rubber outsole is made with 25% recycled content and offers superior traction on both wet and dry surfaces.

Nice trail running shoes...
Nice trail running shoes. With only 20 miles or so on them they seem to have good cushioning, grip and stability on hard-pack, loose dirt and gravel.

Lugs break and wear off after 100 miles total
I bought these early this year. In total they have nearly 200 miles on them. Even at 100 miles the lugs were breaking off and/or worn down to nearly nothing. Now they can’t be used for anything where even basic traction is needed and will be thrown away. Wearing down after just over 100 miles is completely unacceptable for a high priced trail shoe. My friend has put in more than 4 times my mileage with Vibram soles since then and they still appear near new. Huge disappointment from Brooks.

Don’t Buy Brooks Catamount 3 Trail Running Shoe
I wouldn’t buy them again. Not nearly as good as the Brooks Cascadia I had previously. Traction not as good. Cushioning inferior. Really a shame given they cost significantly more. When I get a minute I was planning on writing Brooks and you.

I love it.
Very light and comfortable. Good traction. I like how it snugs my foot, but not too tight. I run with it only on grass and dirt. I tried the Caldera and Cascadia but they feel heavy and big.
