Comfortable and look great.
Given the usual limitations of Doc Martens - no half sizes and often brutal break-in - I found the chelsea boot variety quite comfortable out of the box. When I was young the 1460 and 1461 were my go-to shoes for everyday wear and seeing these at Rack for a good price got me nostalgic. I think what makes the difference for my older less tolerant feet is the elastic and zip up as opposed to lace up. I normally wear an 8.5 and sized up to 9. Fit is good and there is no significant heel slipping. If you want to get into, or get back into, Docs I'd recommend giving these a try.
