Strandmok Cap Toe Oxford (Men)

I have owned many pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes and love the brand. However, my experience with the Strandmok Cap Toe Oxford style from Nordstrom Rack has been disappointing. The first pair I purchased had a blemish on the right shoe, resembling a bald spot. When I called the online support, I was informed that there is no exchange policy and that I must purchase a new pair and return the defective one, for which I have not received a return label yet. A second pair arrived early, but the left shoe's color did not match the right; it was slightly darker. Overall, the quality of these shoes has been subpar, and I now have two pairs to return.

I love these shoes. Finding the fit was a little tricky and just took a little more attention. As many others have said, these run on the slightly larger side. I normally wear a 10 in many other brands. I went down to a 9.5 E. A 9.5 EE would have worked also. They were a hair tight but stretched out to the perfect fit after a couple wears. The GREEN is amazing in these. Dark in low light settings. In office high light settings the green tons really shine through. Fit, finish, appearance are all top notch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the dark green color on these, it really pops against the lighter soles, but isn't overly colorful. In a darker environment it may not even come off as green but as a dark grayish brown, but is a beautiful forest green in the light. They are very soft and comfortable, literally no break in required, maybe slightly roomier than the leather oxfords I have. I didn't size down because I need the toe space due to my wider feet, otherwise I might have considered half a size down in these.
