The leather is incredibly smooth. I have wide feet, and the shoe's width is M. Like any new shoe, it requires a break-in period. The sole provides moderate cushioning.

CAUTION: not returnable to store
Poor quality and fit is too large. I had to MAIL these back to sender (store would not accept), but I missed the narrow window and now stuck with shoes that don’t fit. Ugh, careful when ordering from Nordstrom Rack as very different return policy from Nordstroms.

Great looking shoe, too narrow in toe
I ordered both the leather and suede, the leather is so soft the suede is a bit stiffer. I have wide feet and ordered my usual Vince size 7.5, too narrow in the toe box. Had to send both pairs back.
