Carter Penny Loafer (Women)

Though very stylish and comfortable enough, the finish on the sole perimeter/welting is rubbing off after only a few wears (see pic; I do not drag my feet). The fit is a bit narrow in the toes and bit wider in the middle. Thus I could not accurately rank the width. Totally wearable though and I'll continue to do so - they break in easily.

These are great looking shoes with a very comfortable footbed, which makes the fit issues all the more disappointing. I'm typically a 37.5 in designer shoe brands (especially if I'm buying loafers), but regularly wear size 7s. I bought these in a size 7, and returned for a 6.5, but they were still too big even in the 6.5. Like other reviews have said, my heel just would not stay in the shoe and there was still room at the front.

This suede is perfection and buttery soft. I am usually a true EU size 40 but I should have ordered a half size down because the suede is so forgiving and they stretched. Still love them, I will probably buy them in a 39.5 in a different color too. I’m so picky about shoes and always get blisters but not with these—I’m wearing them to a summer wedding no more heels for me!
