Bad exeperince
I waited 6 days for these boots because I needed them for a special occasion…only to find a damaged, scratched pair that clearly no one even bothered to inspect before shipping.
To make it worse, the price online showed $199 ($220 with tax), but the boots arrived with a $179 price sticker still attached. So not only did I get a defective product, but also an overcharged one.
I called customer service twice, and all they offered was a return ..which would cost almost $10 for the return label, or I could go spend forever in an in-store line. No compensation, just sorry and no solution, just “return it.”
This was a total waste of my time and a really frustrating experience. I expected better quality control and basic customer care..

Great look. Solid comfort.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these in my typical AE size, and they’re a tad roomier than some other pairs, but not wildly so. The boots were very comfortable right out of the box. I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them in weather yet.
The burgundy color is more purple and less brown than I anticipated, but they still look great. I’ve gotten several compliments from people out and about. The lug sole will be great in winter, and they look and feel good enough that I will likely seek out a second pair in a different color with a standard sole. Recommended.

Great autumn boot
With it's rugged looks, this boot looks great with jeans and is perfect for hikes and visits to the farmers market. It fits well right out of the box and requires almost no break in time. Quality, as you would expect, is top notch. Size is spot on. This type of leather will only get more distinguished as it wears in. Don't be afraid of scuffs, they will only give the boot more character.

Beautiful boots...questionable waterproofing
Beautiful boots, with a few drawbacks. The waterproofing is fine, but the gap between the tongue and upper begins so low these would only be waterproof in the shallowest of puddles or lightest of storms. I wouldn't trust these in a wet environment. Aside from that, these have all the quality I expect from AE!
