Randolph Bit Loafer (Men)

Loved the shoe. Great color. Great sole. It was just 1/2 size too big and they didn't have a 9 in this color. Ended up getting a 9 in the solid brown color and it's a perfect fit. I'm usually a 10 in sneakers and 9 in loafers. The 9.5 was just the tiniest bit too big but I do have a smaller foot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Randolph Bone Suede-Mix is arguably one of the most beautiful offerings of the Randolph line, when executed correctly in it's construction. The elegant, sleek streamlined design that I mentioned in my review of the Randolph 2.0 penny loafer is further enhanced in this execution. Gone is the ridge that encapsulated the vamp and toe box that created a faux apron of other Randolphs. The ridge was replaced by double row stitching that secures a contrasting piece of suede creating a true apron making it look much more elegant and streamlined. Unfortunately, the pair that I received seemed to have been put together by someone with limited skill or little concern about the piece of art they were producing. This execution would have benefited by a lot more attention being paid to detail. Unlike my other Randolphs, this pair had little body in its sides, allowing them to sag. The collar folded inside of the foot compartment making them very difficult to put on. I've found that the quality of suede used is inconsistent across the line. That inconsistency was on full display in the pair that I received. Long and short cropped nap were displayed on one shoe. My pair also had glue that over-flowed onto the suede. The outline of the piece of leather creating the apron could be seen around the vamp and toe box. I returned my first order and reordered. This is such a beautiful shoe, I can only hope they get it right. I wish they would offer more color combinations without having to customize.
