Melissa Button Knee High Boot (Women)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shopped The Frye Company because I wanted quality, leather boots in size 12. Although the website offers boots to size 12 this was the only style available. Even all of the new arrivals were not listed as being available in size 12. The boots are good quality and true to fit. I would prefer a rubber sole if a model was available with that. I also would have preferred another syle with the shaft height consistent and not with the front and back dip which make the boots look more informal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful boot, however, there is no zipper. This is a pull on. I wear a size 5. 5, but purchased a 6. 5 so that I may wear thick socks with it in the cold. I have very narrow ankles and heels and could not pull them on with no socks! I had to use a shoehorn, and even with that it was very difficult. Once on, the footbed was too big, (because I had no socks on). No idea if I’ll ever be able to wear them, but I’ll still purchase Frye, as it’s been my favorite boot since my first purchase in ‘76!!!

They are a little darker in person, but still gorgeous. I am having a hard time getting my foot in the boot, so I have not had a chance to wear them. I’m planning to go to a cobbler and have them stretched out, but if anyone has any advice, I’m open to it. This was a similar situation I had to my first pair of Frye boots, causing me never to wear them, so I think maybe it would be a good idea for this company to provide some stretching techniques or advice with purchase.
