Exceeded expectations
I live in Southern California, where I rarely need waterproof or warm boots. But I had a trip to the Midwest in January and had no appropriate footwear. These boots exceeded my expectations. They kept my feet dry and warm, even trudging through snow. I walked many miles a day and these were totally comfortable; they didn’t need breaking in, were supportive enough, and didn’t rub blisters.

Serviceable, Not Stylish
Pros: roomy toe box, good for bunions; hard-to-find flat heel;
Cons: stiff and hard to put on (even with the double zip)
The fit is good and the price was right but I haven't worn them much yet. I was hoping they would be comfortable right out of the box but this boot feels heavy, and the shank hits my leg about two inches above the ankle and chafes. A thick sock solved the problem but it may make the boot too warm for extended indoor wear. I'll use them for walking the dog and running errands, but I'm disappointed in the rather clunky style. Not as sleek as I would like for office wear.
