Anacapa Breeze Trail Running Shoe (Men)

This was my second pair of Hokas purchased through Nordstrom Rack. My first pair was the Speedgoat 5. I bought a size 11, they fit like an 11 and were the most comfortable shoes I've worn in many years. The new Anacapa Breeze that I just received were an instant disappointment in fit and feel. Since my prior pair fir so well I ordered the 11, despite the size description saying that these run small. They fit like, I would guess, a 12, and walking in them, even in a too big shoe, was a completely different feel. Even if they felt incredible I wouldn't be replacing these with the same shoes online because I don't know if I'd need to go down a half or full size and exchanges are a pain in the neck. Sadly the vaunted Nordstrom customer service was a disappointment when I called about returning them. It's my fault for not looking online first, but when I called I learned, through a very heavily accented voice, that I could return then to the store for free or get a shipping label which would cost me $9.95. No problem, except through the rep's repeated apologies I believe he misinformed me on where I could return the shoes. When I asked him to confirm that I could bring them to the Nordstrom Rack near me he said, "No No No," only a Nordstrom store. The Rack stores do not accept returns on items sold on Marketplace. I don't even know what that is. As I double checked on the Rack website it said to bring them to any register at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack stores. As I post this, I'm still not sure where I can take them.
