The leather is soft so no real break in period. I bought the white. I’m an 8.5 and bought an 8… it’s a little big but I put an insole in and that made it fit much better. Not really sure if sz 7 would have been better. The sz 8 length is perfect. Width is large. I do have a little narrow feet. Love these….

cant zip around calf
These are so cute and I was so excited but it won’t zip around my calf. I have never had any issues and thought I had average legs lol but these seem to be only for those with skinny skinny legs. They are heavy fyi. I usually wear an 8.5/9 and ordered and 8 like my other Dr Martens and the area in the boot for my foot was perfect. Sadly have to return.

Runs a bit big
I normally wear a size 7 but a size 6 works just fine. PREPARE PREPARE PREPARE for the blisters. Make sure to buy bandaids for the heels. Wear super thick socks while you break them in. I love the boots so much, but it will take some time to get used to. Don’t walk a lot with them while you start to protect your feet.

everything about these are perfect lol. the chunky sole is so cute, the color is a gorgeous dark chocolate brown, so deep it’s almost black under non direct light which personally i love. gives it a feel of ruggedness in a utilitarian way. personally don’t care for the zipper attachment or original lacing and they fit less tight without them on. look cuter laced regularly. i would say im a true 8 but boy are these a bit narrow!!! omg. and i’m neither wide nor narrow but after a work shift as a restaurant server with all that running around i do get a little sore….. surprisingly i haven’t left aching ever, but the break in period was slightly hell as it rubbed off the back of my ankles. def worth it though because i’m healed and they fit like a glove now. they look cute with everything too! from pants to shorts to dresses you name it im in love
